Shannon Vlasaty, RMT
With a love for and interest in holistic healing and helping others, Shannon took advantage of an opportunity to make a career change in 2015 and graduated from The Institute of Complimentary and Alternative Therapies with a keen discipline in Massage Therapy.
Shannon became a Registered Massage Therapist in January 2017. Her previous career as a Steelworker has made her familiar with the effects of repetitive work on the body whether they are due to prolonged sitting, computer work or repetitive motions. Shannon leads an active lifestyle and is experienced with the effects, strains, and injuries that an athletic lifestyle can have on the body.
She has studied Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue techniques that encompass general relaxation, addressing a specific issue or to help reduce recovery time of an injury. In addition to this, Shannon is also trained in Dolphin MPS Therapy which can be used in treatment to enhance the effects of massage, reduce scarring, and manage pain. Shannon’s goal is to work with and educated clients, designing each session to most effectively meet their needs and provide a comfortable experience.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys running, hiking, snow shoeing, skiing, getting out on her paddle board, and dancing to her own beat.
